Generic- OBS and Igloo Lectern

OBS and Igloo Lectern are advanced tools to enable extra functionality from the Igloo Video Conferencing system. OBS replaces the camera, and Igloo Lectern is the supporting control system.

Accessing OBS:

Accessing Igloo Lectern:

 

Igloo Lectern can be accessed from any device on the network by putting the address:

<IP>:8081

Into the address bar of a web browser. For ease of use, it can also be accessed for the pinned Igloo Lectern bookmark in Google Chrome:

Using the OBS Virtual Camera:

In order to use this functionality in a meeting, you must first enable OBS’s virtual camera. This can be achieved through the Start Virtual Camera button in the Controls section in the bottom right of the OBS Window:

If OBS virtual camera is not enabled, but OBS virtual camera in teams, the following image is displayed:

Controlling the OBS Virtual Camera:

Control is achieved using the Igloo Lectern page. There are two key tabs here:

Broadcast:

Broadcast tab changes the active source. Currently, four sources are available - the Panacast, the Birddog ceiling mounted camera, and the two HDMI inputs. Clicking on any of the buttons here will immediately change the source the virtual camera displays. If there are any other sources you’d like to see here, please contact Igloo support to discuss

Notice the arrows at either side that can reveal new tiles here.

Cameras:

The Cameras tab allows the recalling of preset birddog camera presets. Pressing one of these buttons will move the ceiling mounted camera to the associated preset position. It does not change the source:
