Igloo Home: Adding and editing components

Components are the clickable items on the home screen that lead to a content launch. Here’s how to create, and edit components to launch just the content desired.

All of the following instructions begin in the Components tab on the sidebar. This is found under Layouts → layout name → Components

Open

Content Buttons:

1. Press Add to add a new content button
   
   

   Open

   

    

2. Name it, select the type Content Button, and, if known, enter the desired location and width/height. This can be edited later. Finally, enter the content id that links to the content that should be triggered. Press add
   
   

    

3. The content button should now be visible in the defined location. In the canvas edit window, it can now be clicked to allow editing. When selected, the Properties edit tab should populate. From this tab, it is also possible to click and drag to move the button around the canvas
   
   

    

4. Edit the button as desired, before pressing Apply. Remember that the content ID can be found in the Content View

Content Grid:

1. Change the component type to Content Grid
   
   

    

2. Press add to add the grid to the canvas
   
   

    

3. Click on the new grid to select it and the properties edit tab should populate
   
   

    

4. Change the Type Filter and Tag Filter to filter the content that fills the grid. This relates to the entries in the Content Database of the same type and defined tags

Run mode:

To enter Run mode where Igloo home can be used to control an Igloo system, select the Run dropdown from the top bar and select Run mode
