User Guide - Igloo Video Conferencing

Video Conferences are typically run from a small form factor, or portable PC, such as an Intel NUC or a Microsoft Surface. These devices are typically loaded up with the following key pieces of software:

• Microsoft Teams

• Igloo Device Control

• Igloo Control Panel

• Igloo Canvas Receiver

• OBS (optionally)

Turning on the system:

• Power both the IMP, and the video conferencing PC

  • Igloo Device Control, Igloo Canvas Receiver and Microsoft Teams will open on the VC PC by default

• Using Igloo Device control, power the projectors. This can be done through the system tray by right clicking on the IglooDC icon - the following context menu will appear
  

  

• Selecting Turn on Projectors should power all projectors in the space.

Starting the video Call

• Open and if required, log in to teams.

• Join a meeting, or make a direct call, just as you would with a regular system

• Ensure the device settings are as follows:

  • Speakers (2-Dante USB I/O Module)

  • Microphone (Dante USB Receive (2-Dante USB I/O Module)
    

    

• And that’s it. Enjoy the call!

Casting the call to the Warper Canvas:

Casting the call is achieved using Igloo Control panel, in the Meeting tab:

• First, select Cast Video Call

  • This will prompt you to choose a window. Select the Teams (or VC software of choice) window:
    

    

• Once selected, press ok and this window should now be displayed on the Canvas. You can reposition the window around the space with the XY grid “position video call” and resize with the scaler “scale video call”

Sharing elements of the Warper canvas with call participants:

Using the Share Screen button on the meeting tab will display a red outline on the Warper Canvas, outlining an area that can be shared with other remote participants.

• Select Share in teams as normal:
  

  

• When prompted, select the second display (Which should contain the contents of the red outline):
  

  

The XY grid position share screen can be used to grab a different portion of the canvas, and the scaler scale share screen can be used to reduce the size of the canvas grab, but this always maintains a 16:9 aspect ratio.
