Layouts allow custom regions within a canvas to be defined. These regions can then be used to easily contain the position of a Layer within it’s containing Canvas

Creating Layouts

The Layout editor window can be opened from the toolbar menu Config > Layouts

Use the + button below the Layout list panel to create a new layout, then right-click the new Layout within the Layout list and choose Rename to change its name.

When a new Layout is added, it will contain 4 regions by default. A Layout can contain any number of Regions.

Use the + button below the Region list panel to create a region within the selected Layout.

Right-click a Region within the Region list and choose Rename to change its name.

Use the Left , Right, Top and Bottom sliders to adjust the Region. CTRL+Click to manually enter a slider value.

Using Layouts

Within the Geometry settings of a Layer, set Position Mode to Lock to Region. A Region within a Layout can then be selected. Once a Region has been set, the Layer will be locked within the boundary of the Region.
