The following steps are required when migrating an existing installation to ICE.
Installation
Install the following applications: IglooCoreEngine, Igloo Core Service (Automatically installed with the IglooCoreEngine installer), ICE Control Panel, Igloo Setup.
Then follow the steps in Setup and Screen Windows
Export Warp files
The warping and blending configuration from the Warper needs to be exported to ICE. Make sure the Warper is at least the Summer 22 version (1.20.0.2210193) otherwise the warp files will not be exported correctly.
Select the Config > High Performance Warping > ICE > Export Warping File and set the export folder to C:\ProgramData\Igloo Vision\IglooCoreEngine\warping . The export process takes a couple of minutes to complete. Once completed the warping folder should contain files with names like Screen-mask.bmp, Screen-edgeBlend.bmp and Screen-warp*.bmp.
Workaround
If there are issues with exported warp files, a temporary workaround is to run the Warper to display the ICE Canvas. This is done by enabling the Spout canvas share from the Workspace menu in ICE and enabling the ‘ICE Canvas’ entry in the Layers > External Application Inputs menu in the Warper.
Layouts
The default layout in ICE needs to be configured to fit the physical screen. The default layout consists of 4 equally sized regions arranged horizontally. Edit the regions so that they have appropriate names and sizes. For instance, if the screen consists of 3 walls, you can name the regions as ‘Left Wall’, ‘Centre Wall’ and ‘Right Wall’. The fourth region can either be deleted or set to the full canvas size and named as ‘Walls’.
TruePerspective
Use Igloo Setup to generate the TruePerspective.xml file. See ICE Settings Tool .
If the TruePerspective settings have already been generated, you can copy the TruePerspective.xml file from the Warper’s settings folder (C:\ProgramData\Igloo Vision\IglooWarper) to the ICE settings folder (C:\ProgramData\Igloo Vision\IglooCoreEngine\settings).
