ThingLink: Create unique experiences with interactive images, videos & 360Ā° media

Integration

This integration is built by the ThingLink development team supported by the Igloo application integration team. The integration enables the 360 image and video output to be displayed in a suitable format for Igloo immersive spaces.

Usage

Create a WebView in Igloo Core Engine with the following settings:

  • Set the layer size to be 6x1 aspect ratio (e.g. 6000x1000px, 12000x2000px). You will need to set the Dynamic Resolution toggle to ā€˜Offā€™ in order to set the resolution of the WebView.

  • Add the Cubemap to Equirectangular effect.

  • Add the TruePerspective effect.

  • URL: add cubemap to the end of the URL (https://www.thinglink.com/view/scene/{id}/cubemap) e.g. https://www.thinglink.com/view/scene/1586393881010765825/cubemap

Hotspots and Popups

When applying the cubemap option the url is directed to the following format: https://thinglink-editor.s3.amazonaws.com/production/ext/cubemap/index.html?id=1264679527141867522

The size of the hotspots and popups can be adjusted using the url parameters tagScale and windowScale e.g. https://thinglink-editor.s3.amazonaws.com/production/ext/cubemap/index.html?id=1264679527141867522&tagScale=2&windowScale=0.5

Limitations

  • The following content types and features are not supported:

    • ThingLink scenarios

    • ThingLink 3D models

    • Transit tags: conditional transitions feature

    • Poll tags

    • Info panel feature

    • Floor plan feature
