Guide on how to view a 360 video stream from Igloo Nomad on the Igloo Media Player

Nomad Receiver (Medialooks) Setup

Click the Nomad (Medialooks) Reciever Icon which should be installed within the Start Menu.

If you’ve never opened Nomad (Medialooks) before, it may be upset that there is no license file within it’s root folder.

The root folder will be located in

C:/Program Files(x86)/Igloo Vision/Igloo Nomad/MediaLooks Video Transport

A license should have been purchased as part of the sale of Igloo Nomad, however if one hasn’t, or it’s run out, they can be purchased from Medialooks directly via one of their sales executives.

Once you start the program, it should look like this:

The only source, is the stream from the Igloo Nomad Microsoft Surface. If you select it, and click Start Output, it will generate a local NDI source which the Igloo can ingest. It will also begin tracking the latency and health of the stream.

Igloo Setup

Ensure that both the Igloo Warper, and Igloo Capture app are running. Firstly inside the Igloo Capture App, in an empty capture input, create a new capture input. Then add an NDI input and select the NDI feed matching the name of the stream in Medialooks

Then on the capture channel you’ve now created. Select the following (in no particular order)

  • Stretch to Canvas

  • Enable

  • Bring to Front

Also make sure the the scale is set to 1.0, and the position is 0.5/0.5

You’ll then see the input in the Igloo Warper

You will now receive the stream in from the Igloo Nomad system as long as both maintain a good, stable, internet connection.
