A Session allows for one or more Layers, as well as their associated Layer settings, to be saved as a single object.

Sessions can be recalled at a later date by loading them into a Workspace.

Creating a Session

  • Select Session > Save Session from the toolbar to open the Save Session widow

Session Settings

  • Layers

Select one or more Layers from the Workspace to be included in the Session

  • Name

Set a name for the Session. Session names must be unique, if you try to save a session using an existing Session name, you will be asked whether you wish to overwrite the exiting Session which uses that name

  • Description (Optional)

  • Thumbnail (Optional)

If no thumbnail is set, a default thumbnail will be used. Session thumbnails are used when displaying Sessions on a Home Layer (so make them pretty!)

  • Tags (Optional)

Used for filtering Sessions on a Home layer grid. See https://360igloo.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ID/pages/3307438453/Home+Components#Fill-Type

  • User Groups

See User Management Window

Loading a Session

Once a Session has been saved to the Database, it can be loaded into any Workspace. This can be done in a number of ways.

Editing a Session

Open the Edit Session window, from the Content Library window right click > edit on a Session.
