The cursor control page allows manipulation of ICE’s Igloo Core Engine’s on-screen cursor from a remote device.

Usage

Click or tap the “Start casting” button to begin controlling the cursor.

If you’re using a mouse and keyboard, your mouse will be locked to the Control Panel window, and all further mouse movement and keyboard interactions will be forwarded to ICEIgloo Core Engine. Press [Escape] to unlock your mouse and stop controlling the ICE Igloo Core Engine cursor.

If you’re using a touchscreen, a touchpad will be shown. You can use this like a laptop’s standard touchpad. Press the “Open keyboard” “Keyboard” (⌨️) button to show your device’s on-screen keyboard if required.

Configuration is accessed through the “Settings” button (or the top-left cog icon on mobile). Configuration is stored on your device, separately for each connected media-server.

  • Enable - automatically turn canvas UI on when casting is started

  • Disable - automatically turn canvas UI off when casting is stopped

Presentation clicker mode (mobile only)

Display back and forward arrows while casting, which send back and forward arrow key presses - for anything that requires the use of these buttons.

Pre-requisites

As for all ICE Igloo Control Panel usage, the Igloo Core Service must be installed and running on the media server.

To display any Canvas UI, including the cursor that this page controls, ICE Igloo Core Engine’s Canvas UI setting needs to be set to Immersive Mode on.

An appropriate controller must also be configured.

  1. Open the Controller menu from Config -> Controller

  2. Add an Igloo Cast controller with the [+] button

  3. Change the controller’s Mode to Cursor.

  4. Adjust cursor size and sensitivity as required in the Cursor dropdown.
