ICE Drop is an Igloo Control Panel app that allows the uploading of files to the Igloo FileDrop allows file-sharing with your media server from a remote devices.
The app places uploaded files into a configurable content folder.
To use it, open the app from Igloo Control Panel’s Apps tab.

This screen shows the files currently contained within the defined content folder.
Individual files can be clicked to remove them from the folder. The “Delete all” button will remove every file from the folder.
To upload files, click the “Upload files” button. This will open a separate window, like this:

Drag files from Windows Explorer onto this new window to upload them. They will appear in the list shown by the main window.
To browse files within the folder on the Igloo screen, just open it in Igloo Web. It’s likely that this path was bookmarked for you during setup.
Configuration
The folder path to use for uploads is configured in C:\igloo\igloo-core-service\config.json
.
Change the icedrop.directory
property shown below to change the target folder.
This folder must already exist on the machine.
All backslashes in this string must be escaped (as shown below).
When setting this path, it’s helpful to bookmark it in Igloo Web too - just paste the directory from Windows Explorer into Igloo Web’s URL bar and then save it as a bookmark, part of a tabset, or however else you need to use the file browser.

Usage

Drag files from your device’s native file browser onto this page in Igloo Control Panel, and they’ll be uploaded to be a configured folder on the media server you’re connected to. Clicking the Upload button will bring up your device’s native file-picker, if dragging and dropping isn’t your thing.

Click files to delete them (or tap twice on mobile).
Click the Delete all button to remove everything from the folder.

Pre-requisites
As for all Igloo Control Panel usage, the Igloo Core Service must be installed and running on the media server.
The default upload folder is C:\Content\icedrop
. If this folder doesn’t exist when the service starts, no files can be uploaded. To configure this, see https://360igloo.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ID/pages/3356196881/Configuration#icedrop.
