A Session allows for one or more layers, as well as their associated layer settings, to be stored together within the content database. Sessions can then be recalled at a later date and loaded into a Workspace.
Creating a Session
Select Workspace > Save Session from the toolbar

Select which layers from the Workspace to create a Session from.
Set a name for the Session. The description and thumbnail path are optional, by default ICE will generate a thumbnail by taking a screenshot of the current Workspace canvas.
Press Save to create the session and add it to the content database

Loading a session
Sessions can be loaded into a workspace from from the Layer List view.

When a Session is loaded, all of the layers it contains Content Library. Session > Load Session

Upon loading a session, all the layers contained within it will be added to the Workspace and any unpinned layers will be removed.
To add a Session without clearing the current workspace layers you can right-click the session and choose Append

Appending a session
In scenarios where you already have an active session in your workspace but wish to incorporate additional content without removing the current session, utilise the 'Append Session' feature. This functionality allows you to seamlessly integrate another session alongside your existing one, preserving all currently displayed layers.
