1. Create a page

  • Click "Create" and select "Blank Page" to create your first page.
  • New pages are created as children of the page you are currently viewing.

2. Add to your page

  • Click "Edit" to enter the Confluence editor and use the page layouts feature to structure your content using sections and columns.
  • Use headings to format your text and drag and drop images into your page to provide visual interest.
  • Click "Insert" and select "Other Macros" to add macros for navigation, special formatting and other media.

3. Organise your pages

Here are some tips for organising your content.

  • Change the page order

The sidebar on the left displays your pages in a hierarchy. If you have Space Administrator permissions you can click "Space Tools" > "Reorder Pages" to move pages around.

  • Add labels

Labels help keep pages organised and make it easier for you to find the information you need. Click "Labels" at the bottom of a page to add or edit. The "Related pages" section on this page uses labels too!

  • Make templates

Standardise and speed up the page creation process with templates. You can create and format a template with page layouts, standard headings and instructional text for hints and guidelines. Check out our sample page on "Making a template"

Prerequisites for Headset Use

  • You should already have either an Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, or Valve Index headset. If you are using an Oculus Quest 2, with Airlink, please follow the instructions HERE

  • If you have never used your headset before, please take the time to run through the headset setup procedure, including any additional tutorials that begin on startup.

  • You should have your headset plugged in and initialized, so Steam VR is running, and Oculus Home is running for Oculus users.

Initial Setup

  1. Unzip the IglooShowroom.zip folder structure to somewhere accessible, like your desktop.

  2. Run the IglooShowroomSetup.exe file, and follow through the installation wizard.

  3. Half way through the installation, the system will start installing a program called Igloo Warper, and then Igloo Playback both are required to view your own content. Follow these installation wizards too.

If you do not wish to install Igloo Warper or Igloo Playback, please click Cancel when the installation wizard for them appears. This will not break anything, and the installation of Igloo Showroom will still run as expected.

4. Once the installation has completed. Please run the Igloo Showroom, Igloo Warper, and Igloo Playback applications.

Note

You will be asked to provide Firewall Access to each program. Ensure that all 3 have Public and Private firewall access

If your warper does not look like this, please follow the below instructions.

  1. Close the warper, and navigate to the following path: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Igloo Vision\IglooWarper

  2. Open GuiSettings.xml

  3. Edit the line: <showGUI>0</showGUI> to <showGUI>1</showGUI>

  4. Restart the warper, it should now show the GUI window.

Preparing the Warper

To view any of your own content, it will need to be placed in a specific folder for the warper to see it.

Installing the warper should have created this folder for you, however if it has not please make sure you have the following folder structure on your C:/ drive.

Place all of your 360 movies and Panoramas in this content folder, and the Igloo Warper will pick them up and be able to play them.

To play content in the igloo warper, click Media Files from the GUI, and then select the content you wish to play. It will autoplay when selected, and can be controlled by the options on the Play dropdown menu.

Activate Spout Output

To ensure that Igloo Virtual can see the warper, we need to activate the Spout Sender within the Warper GUI. Ensure that your spout sender is active, buy clicking Output > Senders > Spout, and checking it so it's green. When active it should look like the picture below.

You are now ready to use Igloo Showroom, you can now put on your HMD.
