Layouts allow custom regions within a canvas the Canvas to be defined. These regions can then be used to easily contain restrict the position geometry of a Layer within it’s containing Canvasto within a defined Region
Creating Layouts
The Layout editor Layouts window can be opened from the toolbar menu Config > Layouts

Use the + button below the Layout list panel to create a new layout, then right-click the new Layout within the Layout list and choose Rename to change its name.

When a new Layout is added, it will contain 4 regions by default. A Layout can contain any number of Regions.
Use the + button below the Region list panel to create a region within the selected Layout.
Right-click a Region within the Region list and choose Rename to change its name.
Use the Left , Right, Top and Bottom sliders to adjust the Region properties. CTRL+Click to manually enter a slider value.

Using Layouts
Within the Geometry settings of a Layer, set Position Mode to Lock to Region. A Region within a Layout can then be selected. Once a Region has been set, the Layer will be locked within the boundary of the Region.

The Show Layout toggle can be used to keep the selected layout visible once the Layouts window has been closed.
