Licensing
You will first need to generate a HostID
Get the host id generator from https://www.plm.automation.siemens.com/en_us/support/gtac/
you want to get the "COMOS Walkinside License HostID At Customer" item from the bottom of the quick links. Note
or https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ogS73DlBmvM431UHl3gGzFhdj2pNjBGrYou should end up with a file like so - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ugntxLZe-r-g9uuHns7AgKrF1eb_d_r4
Send that file to our Siemens sales person - currently - nigel.sams@siemens.com
With the license file you get back put it in - C:\Users\Igloo\AppData\Local\COMOS\COMOS Walkinside 10.2 (64 bit)\License - Note that installation documentation (located in the Igloo google drive link above) specifies the wrong folder and says to put it in the start menu linked license folder which doesn't exist. There is also a license fodler generated by walk inside in the all users COMOS folder but this also doesn't work. If your license doesn't work look at the logs for which folder COMOS is checking for the license file.

Recent developments have led to Walkinside being controlled by a Dualshock 4 controller rather than the previous Xbox controller. This requires a few things
A sony DS4 dongle and a DS4 controller
A Bluetooth connection from the computer running Walkinside
The DS4Windows program
What the DS4Windows program does is it allows the DS4 to operate as an Xbox controller, effectively remapping the inputs. The process for the connection is as follows:
Set the controller to pair mode (Hold down the "share" button until the light on the back begins flashing:
Pair the controller with the machine through the windows settings - will appear as "Wireless controller"
...
4. Open the USB game Controllers window, under the advanced tab, ensure that Controller (XBOX 360 for Windows) is the preferred device
...
5. With the DS4Windows program, you may see multiple controllers here - the one with the valid MAC address should be the DS4. The status should be the Bluetooth symbol.
