The main window has a third configuration when Igloo Home is in ‘run’ mode. Only three sections are displayed: Canvas preview, Console and a Layouts section which enables the active layout to be selected. Igloo Home must be in run mode for the user to select and launch content.

The Igloo Home main menu bar is shown below and each option is described.

Open..
Select a layouts file to load into Igloo Home.
Save
Save the loaded layouts to the current layouts file.
Save As..
Save the loaded layouts to a new layouts file.
Config..
Show the Config pop-up window.
Quit
Close Igloo Home.
View
Refresh
Rebuilds all the layouts. This is sometimes necessary if changes made haven’t been reflected in the Canvas preview window.
Run
Run mode
Switch to Run mode. The Properties tree and Canvas Edit window are hidden and the thumbnail icons can be clicked to launch content. The Igloo Home window can be manually resized.
Edit mode
Switch to Edit mode. The Properties tree and Canvas Edit window are displayed and the layouts can be modified. The Igloo Home window can be manually resized.

Import..
Show the import pop-up window.

Import movies and panoramas - all movies in .mp4, .mov and .avi format and all images in .png and .jpg format are imported from the selected folder (and sub-folders) into the database. Any files with names which match existing content records are not imported (to prevent duplicates).
Import bookmarks - bookmarks in Igloo Home correspond to settings files created in Igloo Web. These are .xml files usually stored in the AppData or ProgramData folder on the Igloo Media Server. This operation imports all .xml files from the selected folder and ignores duplicate filenames.
Thumbnails..
Show the thumbnails pop-up window.

Generate - this operation loops through all the content records in the database and generates a thumbnail for any which don’t already have one. The ‘overwrite existing’ tickbox can be selected to force all thumbnails to be regenerated.
